29 Jul Visuals for ‘what feminism means today’
Woman’s House hackney London 2019
It has been my dream to recreate the famous woman’s house in California 1972 for over four years. On July 6th, 2019 for one week, I gathered some incredible women, men, feminists, friends and artists to paint and write throughout a three storey house in Hackney, their thoughts on what feminism today is, compared to the artists and feminists of 1972. It was all in aid of Women’s Aid, and together over an incredibly short period of time we filled this house with incredible art and thought provoking work on feminism today. We also had Tote bags made and are now looking to start our next project for 2020. There will be an archive at the feminist library, https://feministlibrary.co.uk
